Halo halo

get loved

I was just really mad and sad. This is going to be a major moment in American history, and I want to do something about it. What I was really amazed by was the spirit of the people of New Orleans. Another thing I found amazing was the humour. They’re profane. We wanted to record the raw feelings of these people. That’s what makes New Orleans the most unique city in America, and that’s tough for me to say, being from New York.

ancient internet

bughouse:

i randomly found this a while ago —it is a website about art in NYC SOHO that appears to have last been updated maybe in 1998.  fascinating.  ain’t no art in soho nowadays, it’s all shopping for tourists.

http://www.artseensoho.com/

quite fascinating to click on the map which takes you to say, thompson street, and shows exactly what shops were along there in the late 90s.  particularly worthy of LOLZ/heavy sobbing is how broome and grand’s east side was described as “old style blue-collar walkup buildings”….

hmm hmm mebbe ah should move to NYC back den
