I do not believe that being hanged by the neck until dead is a barbaric or inhuman punishment. I look forward to that as a real pleasure and a big relief to me. … When my last hour comes, I will dance out of my dungeon and onto the scaffold with a big smile on my face and happiness in my heart. … The only thanks you or your kind will ever get from me for your efforts on my behalf is that I wish you all had one neck and that I had my hands on it.
